Dr. Kristen Ellis is Cigna Dental’s Texas & Central Regional Dental Director. She provides quality management oversight of the region, collaborates on clinical policy development, and provides clinical support for our sales/growth partners, clients, and customers.

Dr. Ellis brings over 20 years of clinical and industry experience to Cigna Healthcare – Dental & Vision. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College, Bachelors of Science from The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Women’s Business Entrepreneurship Certificate & Business Analytics Certificate from Cornell University, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her tenure includes providing clinical care and leadership within the healthcare insurance industry, various Community Health and Federally Qualified Health Centers, and private practice. Dr. Ellis was appointed by the Secretary of Health & Human Services to serve as a Dental Health Expert – Special Government Advisor. Prior to Cigna Healthcare, she served as the Director of Dental Networks and Quality Management with Guardian Life Insurance Company. In 2025, Dr. Ellis was selected by her peers for induction as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Ellis maintains an active dental license in the states of Texas, Louisiana, and Missouri and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, American Association of Dental Consultants, and National Association of Dental Plans.
