Dentists automatically become participants in these programs once accepted into the Cigna DPPO network.
What are these programs, and how do they work?
CignaPlus Savings®
CignaPlus Savings® is a discount dental program. When you participate in this program, your practice will be listed in the dentist directory located at CignaPlusSavings.com.
CignaPlusSavings® isn’t insurance, so there are no claims to file. You can simply charge the patient the discounted Cigna Dental contracted rate. You can identify patients who participate in this program by their CignaPlus Savings® ID card. It is imprinted with the Cigna logo and the phrase, “This is not insurance.” The cardholder is directly responsible for all payments to your office.
Cigna Dental Shared Administration
The Cigna Dental Shared Administration program is available to participants through various avenues. When you participate in this program, your practice will be promoted to employers who administer their own plans, third-party administrators, and employers that contract with other insurers and third-party providers.
This program operates similarly to a standard Cigna DPPO plan, except that all claims are submitted to and paid by a third-party administrator (not Cigna), and there is no balance billing.

At the prompts, enter your tax ID number, say “contracting,” and say “dental.”
