The course is 90 minutes long and offers a 1.5 CE credit.
The Joy of Treating Special Care Populations covers what they didn’t teach providers in dental, dental hygiene, and dental assisting school and how you can make treating an underrepresented population a win/win situation.
Participants will learn:
- Reviewing the disparity of care for those with developmental disabilities
- Learning some basics of how we start the journey towards health equity in our dental practice for those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Dispelling the myths and fears of treating those with IDD
- Reviewing minimally invasive approaches towards maximal rewards and joy in dentistry
