Cigna Dental Medicare Advantage 2024 Updates

Medicare Advantage open enrollment begins on October 15th and ends on December 7th, 2023.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, as of January 2023, 30.7 million people are enrolled in Medicare Advantage and each day, 11,000 new people become Medicare eligible in the United States.

For Cigna PPO Network Dentists:  Cigna Dental Medicare Advantage Allowance Plan (PPO)

The Cigna Dental Medicare Advantage Allowance plan that uses our DPPO Network has over 370,000+ members nationally and continues to grow!

In 2024, Cigna Dental Medicare Advantage Allowance (PPO) will continue to offer dental benefits that are embedded in the member’s medical plan.

In some markets new dental allowance plans will be offered with the following changes:

• Some plans will not have out of network benefits*
• Some plans will only pay a portion of out of network benefits*

For Cigna DHMO Network Dentists:  Cigna Dental Care Medicare Advantage (DHMO) Plan

The Cigna Dental Care Medicare Advantage (DHMO) plan has over 188,000+ members nationally and continues to grow!

In 2024, the Cigna Dental Care Medicare Advantage (DHMO) will continue to offer dental benefits that are embedded in the member’s medical plan. 

It will be:

• Expanding into new states and counties*
• Easy to administer with limited plan design changes in 2024*

If you are already contracted in our Cigna Dental Medicare Advantage Allowance (PPO) and/or our Cigna Dental Medicare Advantage (DHMO) network(s), then you do not need to do anything. Just let Cigna’s Medicare Advantage members know that you are a contracted dentist.
