California Law – Timely Access to Care for Members

Notice for DHMO Providers who Service California Members:

Under California law, Cigna is required to provide and arrange for timely access to care for its members.

If a Cigna member is unable to obtain a timely referral to an appropriate provider, the provider or member can call Cigna Customer Service at 800.Cigna24 (800.244.6224) for assistance.  Cigna members and providers may also file a complaint with the California Department of Managed Health Care if unable to obtain a timely referral to an appropriate provider by calling the Department’s Help Center at 888.466.2219.
