Dr. Jon Amberg is a Clinical Utilization Review Director for our DHMO and DPPO products. In addition to managing a team of Dental Consultants, he is part of our clinical team providing guidance and leadership in areas involving product development, regulatory compliance, quality management, and utilization management activities. Dr. Amberg joined the Cigna clinical team in 2014 after having a successful private practice career focusing on restorative and implant dentistry. Dr. Amberg earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, San Diego. He completed his DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Amberg is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, and the California Association of Dental Plans. He also maintains dental licensure in the states of California and Arizona.
